Martin Jalili MBA, BSc Hons

 

Martin Jalili is Executive Director of The People Human Resources Consultancy which was formed in 2018 as the successor to The People Partnership which was established in 2002 as a training and HR consultancy for development and training. He is a highly experienced facilitator, coach and trainer with 30 years’ experience working with multi-cultural organisations in Europe and the Middle East. He is bilingual English/Arabic, and has a deep understanding of people dynamics and doing business in the Middle East.

 

For nine years, Martin was the General Manager–Training and Manpower Development for the Al-Futtaim Group, based in Dubai. Prior to setting up The People Partnership, Martin was the Director – Human Resources for the Strategic Development Group at Dubai Government’s Department of Economic Development where he was involved in setting up and supporting the Dubai Human Development Award.

 

Martin has led HR consultancy and training assignments for a large number of local and international organisations. He specialises in Performance Management and has implemented a number of competency-based systems in Government, banks and large private organisations and trained their workforces. Martin also facilitates many leadership development programmes and is involved in many initiatives towards the employment and sustained development of young Emiratis in the workforce.

 

Recent training assignments include HR programmes with Abu Dhabi General Secretariat of the Executive Council; Coaching for Government Leaders Programme with the Prime Minister’s Office; Leadership Development programme with Dubai Government Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology (EIAST) and Ministry of Interior; Performance Management workshops with Abu Dhabi Airports, AMMROC, Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development, Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, General Civil Aviation Authority and Al Tayer Group; Strategic Thinking with Environment Agency in Abu Dhabi.

 

Recent HR assignments include HR Policies and Procedures, Grading and Salary structures, Job Description and Job Evaluation and Performance Management System for EIAST, General Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Chamber, Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda Group and Sharjah Islamic Bank; Job Descriptions and Job Titles for Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.

 

Martin graduated from the University of London and later obtained his MBA from the City University Business School. Within the community Martin is the chairman of The Human Resources Forum and is a member of the British University in Dubai’s Human Resources Management Advisory Group.
