David Jalili MBA, C.Eng, BSc Hons

 

David is Executive Director of The People Human Resources Consultancy with specific focus on improving organisational performance through consultancy and training in areas such as strategy, performance, change management, processes, the excellence model and human resources. David has worked extensively in this area for over a decade. He has implemented the balanced scorecard and excellence model in numerous organisations in many countries around the Gulf. He has conducted seminars, lectures and workshops for individual companies and international organisations on performance management. David is also a certified EFQM assessor and has supported many organisations win the coveted DQA and other prestigious awards. He has also fully supported the performance and excellence movement in Dubai. He is a Senior Assessor and past Jury member of the Dubai Quality Award (DQA). David also acts as coach to senior management and has provided support to CEOs and executive managers in commercial and oil and gas sector companies.

 

Prior to consulting David held positions with international companies including 10 years with Esso Petroleum Company (Exxon) in UK, 6 years with KPMG Peat Marwick as Senior Consultant in London and Consultancy Manager in the UAE, 5 years as GM in advisory and project implementation with the Government of Dubai and 2 years as GM of GIS, Oman. David was founder and Managing Partner of Ibtikar which specialised in performance excellence.

 

David holds a B.Sc. In Mechanical Engineering from The City University, London, and an MBA from Kingston University, London. He is a Chartered Engineer, Member of the Chartered Institute of Management, Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Energy Institute. He is a Certified Assessor for the EFQM (Europe), Certified Balanced Scorecard Master Professional by the Balanced Scorecard Institute. He is also a founder member of the Institute of Auditors, Dubai Chapter, Senior Assessor and ex-jury member of Dubai Quality Award.

 

In Strategy and Organisation Performance Management, such as Balanced Scorecard (BSC), process improvement, HR performance and productivity, he has led and implemented systems in the government and private sector in the UAE, Middle East and Europe.
